Pawlet Bushwackers Turkey Shoot, Saturday, April 25, Ross’ Gravel Pit off Herrick Brook Road in Pawlet: In addition to the turkey shoot, there will be a trap/skeet and handgun contest. Pawlett Historical Society presentation on Consider Bardwell Farm, Thursday, April 30, 7 PM, Pawlet Town Hall:  Angela Miller, co-founder and co-owner of Consider Bardwell Farm, will summarize the history of the farm, the current revitalization of the milk/cheese co-operative system created by Consider Bardwell, as well as the place that the farm now holds in the local community and, finally, the vision for the next twenty years. The program is scheduled to start at 7 pm at the Pawlet Town Hall and is free and open to the public, and handicapped accessible. Roast pork dinner Saturday, May 2,  5 PM, Pawlet Church: The menu includes: roast  pork baked with topping, stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, hot vegetables, cabbage, salad, applesauce, fruited Jello, rolls with butter, and hot and cold beverages. The cost is $10 for adults and $6 for kids up to age 12; free for anyone up to five years old. Takeout orders can also be make on the day of the dinner by calling the church at 325-3022.

Pawlett Historical Society memorial gathering for Curator Susanne Rappaport, Sunday, May 3, 2-4 PM, Pawlet Town Hall: All those who knew Susanne, and/or her contributions to the history of Pawlet and surroundings, are invited to attend. A painting by Dick Leach of Pawlet in the late 19th century will be presented to the Pawlett Historical Society by Terry and Helen Tyler of Dorset in memory of Susanne Rappaport.
