The Pawlet Library’s Board of Trustees needs volunteers to help as we seek a new Library Director: Beth Kashner is resigning the position after six years, and we thank her for her dedication and years of service. Library hours are: Sunday and Monday closed; Tuesday 11 AM – 7 PM; Wednesday 12 – 6 PM; Thursday 11:30 AM – 5 PM; Friday 11:30 AM – 3 PM; Saturdays closed until the new Library Director is hired. All activities and meetings such as yoga, Bone Builders and organization meetings will not be affected by this change of staff. For information, call the library at 325-3123. Benefit Ham Dinner for Rutland County Fire Victim Families February 8 at Poultney United Methodist Church: Dinner will be served 5 to 7 PM in the church fellowship hall, buffet style, first come, first served. Reservations are not required. Poultney United Methodist Church is located at 108 Main Street, Poultney. All are welcome. The benefit dinner event and free-will contributions are designated for three families who lost their homes to fire this winter – the James family of Pawlet, the Chandler/Savage family of Castleton, and the Cole/Wardwell family of Chittenden. Contributions will be received at the door and/or by mail (Poultney UMC, P.O. Box 203, Poultney, VT 05764-0203) and dedicated to relief for these families.
