The town is considering eliminating 24 streetlights in Pawlet and West Pawlet, which represent about 40 percent of the town’s lighting demand. For more information on the study, see Pawlet Streetlight Study August 2014. Maps showing the location of possible eliminations are also available at the post offices and Town Hall. Community members are encouraged to review this preliminary list and contact the Pawlet Energy Group by September 15 at Pawletenergygroup@gmail.com with any concerns. After this date, the specified lights will be shut off for a three-month trial period during the darker months to help determine if they are necessary.
