Pawlet Library Children’s Story Time with Nina
Saturdays from 10:30 to 11 at the library.
Pawlet Library Tech Time
Saturdays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pawlet Library will offer classes and assistance for today’s technology. Topics will include smartphone basics, tablet basics, social media, protecting your personal information online, digital photography and more. Information will be offered in small class settings, individualized learning and drop-in possibilities.

The town offices are open but appointments need to be made ahead of time for land record and genealogical research.

Did you know?
Vermont should get ready to welcome a small annual visitor. Two types of hummingbirds, the rufous and the ruby throated usually arrive about the first week of May, with the ruby throated being the more common. They catch their flights out typically around mid to late September.

— May 2, 7:00 p.m. — Pawlet Select Board Meeting
The agenda for the next meeting will be available HERE. The Board meets every other Tuesday at 7:00 PM. Meetings are held according to the rules of procedure established by the Vermont League of Cities and Towns.
— May 5 — Green Up Vermont
Green Up bags are distributed through Mettawee School and the Town Clerk’s office, with extra bags left on the Town Clerk’s porch on Green Up Day. Leave full bags at intersections or bring to the Town Shed. Bags will be collected on Monday by Town Highway Dept. Visit pawletfire.org for more info.
— April 9, starting at 6:00 p.m. — Pawlet Public Library Monthly Board Meeting
The Library Board typically meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. The May meeting is an exception. The meetings are open to the public; please contact the library for more information on how to join the meeting at 325-3123.
— May 9, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. — First Aid/CPR Class
Taking place at the Pawlet Town Hall auditorium.
— May 11, 7:00 — Pawlett Historical Society’s March Meeting
The meeting will be held via Zoom. Contact Rose Smith at 802-645-0306 to be added to the attendee list.
— May 13, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. — Pawlet Library Second Seed Saturdays
The next event happens May 13, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Teri Hontas presents, “Gratitude Garden Creating Sacred Space.”
— May 16, 7:00 p.m. — Pawlet Select Board Meeting

The Planning Commission usually meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:30 PM; meetings have returned to being held in-person.
