Town of Pawlet now accepts online payments for property tax and waste water user fees
The Town of Pawlet is happy to announce that we are now able to accept credit card and Electronic Checks for Property Tax and Waste Water User Fee Payments. Click HERE to get started with a payment or call Julie at 802-325-3309 ext. 2.

Zoning Permits
A permit is required for storage boxes and shipping containers. They are considered structures and subject to the same Zoning By-Laws as a building. If you have a storage box/shipping container on your property you must apply for a permit. An exemption is allowed if being used as temporary storage for less than one year. Questions? Contact pawletzoning@vermontel.net

The Pawlet Planning Commission has a public hearing scheduled for December 28 and 7:30 pm to review the proposed town plan. The plan can be viewed HERE.

The purpose of the Hearing is to adopt a revised Town of Pawlet Town Plan. The geographic area affected includes all areas of Pawlet. The agenda and the proposed town plan is available for viewing HERE.

— January 2, starting at 6:00 p.m. — Pawlet Public Library Monthly Board Meeting
The Library Board typically meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. The May meeting is an exception. The meetings are open to the public; please contact the library for more information on how to join the meeting at 325-3123.

— January 8, 6:30-8:30 — Mettowee School Board Meeting
Meeting is held at the town auditorium.

— January 9, 7:00 p.m. — Pawlet Select Board Meeting
The agenda for the next meeting will be available HERE. The Board meets every other Tuesday at 7:00 PM. Meetings are held according to the rules of procedure established by the Vermont League of Cities and Towns.

— January 10, 7:00 — Pawlett Historical Society’s Monthly Meeting
The meeting will be held at the Pawlet Library. Contact Rose Smith at 802-645-0306 if you’d like to attend virtually via Zoom.

— January 22, 7:30 p.m. — Pawlet Planning Commission Meeting
The Planning Commission usually meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:30 PM. The agenda for the next monthly meeting will be available on the town website HERE. Meetings are held according to the rules of procedure established by the Vermont League of Cities and Towns.
