Did you know?
For 65 years, Town Meeting Day has been different in Brattleboro? Brattleboro is the only town in Vermont that has a Representative Town Meeting day where elected delegates debate town business and vote on the town’s budget. Voters elect around 140 residents to represent the town in the matter. But that may soon change as the system is on the ballot to determine if residents want to continue with the system they’ve used for six decades or if they’ll join the rest of the state with how they manage their annual voting.
